How this only got daily 3rd place blows my mind.
Fantastic job on this animation. Well worth the effort I'd say! Thanks for sharing this with us!

I'ma give this a three star because I think it's a very NG-energy kinda video. Which I really appreciate. It's very stupid in a great way.

But personally I'm quite biased to good animation and I think some of the jokes could be timed better. There are a couple of bits that dragged out for too long.

I did chuckle on the loaded part.. So silly..

Checked the original and this is just a straight up copy of the original punch line.. I dunno about that, man. Good job on the animation though.

Short and sweet!

I did have to watch it three times to fully absorb the entire message though. I feel the information in the video is slightly scattered because of the text, the characters, and the flowers being so separate. I felt like I had to really pay attention to the lyrics, thus reading the subtitles, while trying to not miss anything of the animation (which also is the star of the show of course, I don't wanna miss the great work you did). This made me entirely miss the flower the first time I watched the animation.

So to visually push the importance of the flower I think would have been favorable. Perhaps a scene with the flower completely isolated fully on screen could have helped communicating to the viewer to keep an eye on it through out the video. And/or keeping it a bit more centered in view as it is quite far down on screen.

Either way, this was a very nice animation with a quick and simple message and I enjoyed it. Great job on it and I hope my review was perceived as helpful!

Great job on this. I can tell this took some great effort to make.
The only thing I feel holds this animation back is audio. It could have used some nice 8bit sound effects with the action to amplify the battle. I also find the intro to be a bit dragging with all the menu stuff. It takes a while before the viewer gets it that "hey, this animation will have both faked gameplay AND cinematics baked into it". So perhaps cutting to the chase with that would have been in the animation's favor.

Apart from that I think this is really well done and I can imagine that compositing this must have taken a lot of time!

That's true. the file select screen is a bit unnecessary. It was kind of a last-minute thing I thought would help but it just kind of slows everything down.

I love how you composite your stuff. Very polished every time and a smart use of "recycling" animation.
