FREE: Exporter Script!

Posted by KoniWorx - June 30th, 2024

Hey guys,

Me and Chase Cobb put together two exporters for you to use for free. Because Adobe Animate is in dire need of a better exporting workflow. One is for PNG Sequences and one for Sprite Sheets.

PNG Sequence Exporter

At a click of a button you can now export all your layers as PNG sequences all at once and they'll be neatly placed in a folder. This is especially speedy if you don't want to use After Effects for post production.

Sprite Sheet Exporter

Select multiple symbols in your scene and run the script. It will generate the sprite sheets separately and put it in a export folder at your project file location.

This script is exclusively for the latest version of Adobe Animate or can it be used on older versions of Flash?

I have not tried it on old versions of flash. Give it a go.

@KoniWorx The Sprite Sheet Exporter command seems to work with Flash CS6 but doesn't include the extra document with code stuffs for programmers. Tried it in Flash 8 and it didn't work at all apart from displaying "This document must be saved before selection can be exported!!" in the output panel but that's probably because Flash 8 is from 2005.

Still really convenient.

It will say the document will have to be saved first because it will look for the path of the source file when it creates the export folder. In case you didn't save, that could be why. But yeah, Flash 8 is really old and might not use the same functions.

You can open these files in Notepad to edit them as well!
