Right now you are reaching up to 979 of your fans and anyone who happens to be reading the artist news for today. And honestly, that number is rather big, but it will reach a lot of people who cannot help you.
From my perspective, what you are doing right now is the equivalent of putting a neon sign on your front lawn, instead of putting a (free) ad in the newspaper. Your sign might be very visible, but it's not very targeted.
